The Department of Public Safety is the security and police force of Princeton. Working 24/7, every day of the year, the department has over 100 members that include security officers, police officers, the Detective Bureau, Office of the Fire Marshal, and more.

The DPS regularly holds safety presentations for both preventative and informative measures. Some of the presentations focus on crime prevention, statistics, fire safety, safe procedures, student safety, and more. The department also offers a Lost and Found Service and car jump-starts.
