Princeton University has 37 different concentrations for undergraduates. These include humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and engineering. Currently, the most popular majors throughout the school are Computer Science, Econometrics and Quantitative Economics, Public Policy Analysis, General, History, General, and Operations Research.

Independent work is a must at Princeton. For humanities undergraduates, all seniors must present a thesis and in a majority of departments, an extensive paper, or “junior paper”, is needed. You’ll also be required to complete several semesters in a foreign language. Science in Engineering students must spend two semesters on independent research. While B.S.E. has a strict curriculum, all students are able to take advantage of a self-designed curriculum.

You should also know that Princeton faculty do not proctor tests. It actually falls on the responsibility of your fellow students under the Honor Code. This code is central to a student’s academic career at the university.
