All students are required to stay on campus during their time at Olin at one of two dorms, West Hall or East Hall. West Hall features a private bath, air conditioning, and cable while East Hall has several single occupancy bedrooms. The residence halls can hold up to 364.

Currently, Olin only has two competitive sports teams, Soccer and Ultimate, but students are free to participate in clubs and intramurals at the nearby Babson and Wellesley Colleges, although they are not permitted on the varsity teams. Many choose to take part in rugby, martial arts, fencing, the Boston Marathon, and more. Students can also take advantage of the gyms and fitness facilities at the two colleges as well as the ones featured in their own halls.

There are several clubs and organizations at Olin, including the Honor Board, film club, orchestra, Power Chords, and the Council of Olin Representatives. SERV is also a popular choice which focuses on volunteering and community service in the surrounding cities. If students find there isn’t a club that fits their interest, they can apply for funding at the Students Activities Organization.

Every year, Olin participates in the Mathematical Contest in Modeling, where students received the highest rating in 2002 and 2005, also winning the INFORMS prize in the later year. Other competitions include the Society of Automotive Engineers’ Mini-Baja and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers’ Human Powered Vehicle. Academic career counseling, placement services, a library, and employment services are also available to all students.

Students are also encouraged to visit nearby Boston, only 14 miles away, where they will find a vibrant culture with educational opportunities, museums, delicious food, and plenty of history.
