When applying for Yale, it is extremely important to keep in mind that they are one of the most selective schools in the country. They only accept 5% out of about 52,000 applications each year, in an effort to put together the best graduating class they can. This averages out to about 2,590 students being accepted each year and about 1,810 enroll for September.

To have your best chance at acceptance, make sure to follow their forms and requirements very carefully. Your application should have none, but it is also good to have none. Your SAT combined scores should be in the 1,490 - 1,570 range and ACT in the 34 - 36 range. Undergraduates do have to pay a fee of $80 and graduates owe $105.

If you’re planning on applying for Early Action, your paperwork is due by November 1. For regular decision, the due date is January 1. You will be able to see the school’s decision online, but make sure to reply with intent to attend by May 1. Your test scores aren’t due by these dates, but it is recommended you turn them in as soon as possible.
