With a 3 to 1 student to faculty ratio, the school has one of the lowest in the country. Professors include 34 Nobel Prize winners, 6 Turing Award winners, 71 recipients of the United States Medal of Science or Technology, and 112 members who were elected to the United States National Academies. Linus Pauling is also a teacher at the school, the only person in history to have ever won two unshared Nobel Prizes.
