Alumni Association Legacy (For Transfer Students)
Children and grandchildren of K-State alumni who are incoming freshmen or first-year transfer students are invited to apply for a $2,000 K-State Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship. Approximately 100 scholarships are awarded each spring for the following scholastic year. Scholarship Qualifications To apply for 2025-2026: Indicate on your K-State admissions application that you have a parent, guardian or grandparent who graduated from K-State. Complete a FAFSA application as financial need is a requirement for the scholarship. Other Information: -Scholarships are $1,000 for the fall and $1,000 for the spring semester. -Scholarships are not applicable to summer school. -The university scholarship committee will select the recipients for the scholarship. -Please note not all qualifying students will receive this scholarship. -Scholarships will be awarded to incoming freshmen and first-year transfer students enrolled in 12 or more credit hours at K-State per semester. -Incoming freshman must have a grade point average of at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. -Incoming transfer students must have a grade point average of at least 3.6 with 24 college credits. -Funding is provided through the K-State License Plate Program and donors to the Legacy Scholarship Fund.
