The Jared Iman Washington Memorial College of Education Scholarship was created in 2019 by the brothers of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. to memorialize the life and legacy of Jared Iman Washington. -Renewable: No -Need-based: Yes -Listing: Demonstrated financial need and provide a personal statement of 500 words or less on their motivation to follow the path of being an educator -GPA: 2.9 or better cumulative -Class: Sophomore, junior or senior in the Elementary, Middle, or Secondary Level Teacher Education Program -Major: College of Education -Additional Preferences: Preference given to African American males or African American females Current Students: Complete this application by December 31, 2023 (notified by March 31) Currently enrolled students in a teacher education major are eligible.
