National Scholars Program (NSP)
In an effort to attract talented students from around the world, Eastern Michigan University offers the National Scholars Program (NSP) Scholarship for qualified international students. You may qualify for the scholarship if you meet the following qualifications: -Freshman students with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale receive a renewable award of $17,181 (the difference between in-state and out-of-state tuition) for up to four years -Transfer students with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 (tabulated from all post-secondary institutions attended) on a 4.0 scale and have at least 30 college credits receive a renewable award of $17,181 (the difference between in-state and out-of-state tuition in a prorated formula according to the number of credits transferred to EMU as follows): Sophomore (25-55 credits) = 6 semesters of eligibility Junior (56-84 credits) = 4 semester of eligibility Senior (85+ credits) = 2 semesters of eligibility SAP = Satisfactory Academic Progress: requires that students earn passing grades in a minimum of 67% of the credit hours they take. Grades of W, I, N, NC or repeated classes are not earned. -Students must be admitted as a non-resident for tuition purposes
