The purpose of this scholarship is to provide scholarship support to academically eligible students. The following criteria are to be used for selection of students to receive this scholarship: -Recipient must be a full-time student. It is preferred that the student be a music major. -Recipient must have a retention Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5 or above to receive the scholarship. -If a student qualifies academically, the next selection criterion will be financial need. -Scholarship funds are to be used for the cost of tuition, books and other educational fees. -The interest in Information Technology and pursuit of a Music Degree is desired, with thoughts that the recipient will be actively involved through the Lawton Philharmonic Orchestra and associated publicity. The following criterion is required to retain the scholarship for the second semester: -The student must achieve a 2.5 GPA or above during the first semester of the award.
