Welcome to the Southern Adventist University Net Price Calculator!

We are happy to help you explore options and develop a plan to make college affordable. Your education is an important investment and we congratulate you for doing research and planning ahead. We encourage you to be as accurate as possible in answering these questions to be sure you get the best estimate of resources you will receive. Your results show what you are likely to pay to Southern (Direct Costs) and a total budget including items you may pay to other companies for travel and other costs. We are happy to answer any questions you have and provide you with an official financial aid award.

Even if you are not going to college for several years this net price calculator is a valuable resource. It helps you learn about college costs and the ways you can reduce your payments through scholarships and other aid. An admissions counselor is happy to speak with you as you develop your financial plan for college.

The calculator asks you a series of questions as it gathers information about your family finances and eligibility for scholarships. It will provide you with both the Net Direct Cost and an estimated Net Price following federal guidelines. The Net Direct Cost includes amounts billed by Southern, less scholarships and grants (free money). Net Price is the difference between the estimated total costs of college and the scholarships and grants (free money) you will receive as a student. Books, Transportation and other costs are indirect cost estimates and may be paid to outside companies rather than Southern. There are many ways to pay the Net Price, including loans, family resources, work during the school year and over the summer, and outside scholarships.

Please note four important limitations:
1) This is only an estimate. We are happy to provide applicants with official awards upon receipt of supporting documentation.
2) This is not an application for financial aid or admission.
3) You must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be eligible for Federal, state and some institutional grants. The FAFSA is not required if you wish to receive only renewable scholarships.
4) The estimate will only be as accurate as the information you provide. If you only have approximate income and other information you can still receive helpful information as you create your financial plan.
